God has blessed me with 26 years of marriage to James Marks, 21 years of motherhood to Grant, and 18 years to Anna.

Along with leading our children through homeschool/dual enrollment, I have served as office manager for our small business, Secure Consulting Methodologies, where my husband and children perform IT support for area businesses.

Christ won my heart over 20 years ago and continues to encourage my spiritual growth. According to 1 Peter 4:10, each of us has gifts that we are to employ by serving one another. This verse was in my heart and mind as I considered accepting the administrator position at Sauk Valley Christian Academy.

Since 2013, I have had the most unexpected blessing, privilege, and honor of serving in Moms in Prayer International (MIPI). My roles have included group leader, area coordinator, and regional coordinator for Northwest Illinois. Although I have stepped down from regional leadership, I still participate in a MIPI group this school year. A MIPI mom once told me, “l get my best parenting done in that one hour of prayer.” I couldn’t agree more! I have seen many prayers answered and have come to trust that Christ doesn’t just offer hope, He is our hope!

I love serving my family, friends, and church family at New Life Lutheran, and I know I will love serving the families at SVCA! With God’s help, we will strive for excellence, faith, and character in all that we do!
