our school

Welcome

Thank you for taking time to prayerfully consider Sauk Valley Christian Academy for your child’s education.

Our admissions policy connects our school to spiritually like-minded families, who are supportive of our philosophy, objectives, standards, and whose children meet our enrollment criteria. GRACE is here to serve families that desire more than just a private education. There are several strengths that set us apart from public schools. These differences explain why our students consistently go on to attend the best colleges and universities in the country, taking with them a spiritual framework that serves them well in life.

“We aim at inspiring our students to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more for Christ.”

Pastor Randy Blan — Headmaster, GRACE Independently-Run Schools

Academic Freedom

We enjoy the freedom to develop an academic experience not mandated by the state or federal government. Our curriculum is grounded in traditional values and truth about our country’s history. We have chosen Abeka for its advanced approach to learning skills, including cursive. Abeka provides our students with a comprehensive, quality curriculum written from a Christian perspective. Now more than ever, children need a strong foundation in both academics and character.

Biblical Principles

We integrate biblical principles into every subject we teach. Our staff is committed not only to academic excellence but to teaching students how to apply the truths of God’s Word to every aspect of their life. If you agree with the teachings of God’s Word, this school will complement the beliefs and ideals that you teach your children at home. We look forward to partnering with your family in educating your child in God’s truth.

Our History

The history and vision of G.R.A.C.E (Gracefully Reclaiming a Conservative Education) began in 2005. With the introduction of Common Core, our headmaster, Pastor Randy Blan, launched our flagship school, Families of Faith Christian Academy in Channahon. He saw how the culture shift was impacting families and sought to provide a quality Christian education and to share the good news of Jesus Christ with students and their families.

Solid Foundation to Build Upon

As we look to the future, we see our once-shared common values continue to fade and a government we can no longer trust to protect or educate our children in a way that resembles our nation’s foundational values. GRACE aims to follow through on what God called Pastor Randy to do back in 2005. We ask parents across Illinois to join us in our effort to establish numerous conservative, faith-based schools that focus intensively on students’ character, values, faith, and education.
